Welcome to Sefton Sixth Form College

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Sefton Sixth Form College.

Here at Sefton we welcome students from many schools across the Liverpool region and beyond. We pride ourselves on the support offered to every individual that joins our college and truly believe that every one of our students has an amazing potential to succeed.

The move to a Sixth Form College can be challenging; however, you can be assured that there will be a team of experienced professionals to walk alongside you during your unique journey.

Our high standards and expectations ensure that every individual develops the ability to become an independent and lifelong learner, fully equipped with the skillset to progress in their chosen field.

At Sefton, we offer a wide portfolio of A-level courses alongside a small selection of AAQ subjects. All students follow a programme of study that consists of a minimum of three subjects. Whatever your course selection, we can guarantee that you will be taught by tutors who are experts in their area who are willing to go the extra mile to ensure that you achieve your potential.

We hope that this prospectus will give you an insight into the many opportunities Sefton Sixth Form College can offer; however, we would love for you to come and see for yourself.

I look forward to having the opportunity to meet you in person at one of our Open Evenings and wish you the very best of luck in your studies.

Going from high school to Sixth Form is a big jump, but Sefton Sixth Form College offers a welcoming and supportive environment to help make the transition that much easier. We are constantly supported by our teachers and Personal Development Coaches to help us achieve to the best of our abilities, manage our workload and ensure we thrive.

There are lots of opportunities for independent study and study outside the curriculum as we are encouraged to complete work experience as well as taking an enhancement subject such as an EPQ, British Sign Language or Film Production. These not only look good on our UCAS applications but also explore areas of interest outside of our A-level choices.

Studying at a Sixth Form College is an entirely different experience from going to school. You don’t have to wear a uniform, you get to study subjects you are truly passionate about, and you are surrounded by people who are just as focused on their future as you.

My favourite part about going to Sixth Form was being able to choose subjects I was actually interested in. Whether you prefer the sciences, the arts or the humanities, the College will have a combination of subjects that will suit your goals and interests. The College also offers great facilities, with a wide range of places to eat, study, and socialise, it won’t take long for you to feel welcomed and settled into the campus.
