Trips and Visits
Trips and visits are an integral part of the educational experience at Sefton Sixth Form College, enriching your learning beyond the the classroom. These excursions provide a dynamic and practical dimension to your studies, allowing you to apply theoretical concepts to real-world contexts.
New York
This 5-day trip of a lifetime saw students taking in all that New York had to offer with a packed itinerary. Students took an evening visit to the Empire State Building, a walking tour of Central Park as well as taking time to visit Wall Street, taking pictures with the Fearless Girl, and the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. The group even had time to fit in shopping on 5th Avenue, a Broadway Show and a Basketball game at the Barclays Centre.
London
Our Business, Law and Economics students travelled to London for a 2-day trip that took in numerous activities linked to their subjects as well as an opportunity for some sight-seeing. Students watched a trial at the Old Bailey, saw the Royal Courts of Justice as well as taking a tour of Parliament.
Krakow
Our Criminology students travelled to Krakow to visit Schindler’s factory museum and Galicia Museum. This links into their unit one study of state crime and the devastating effects of the Holocaust. Students also visited Wawel Castle and Polonia Wax Museum.
Auschwitz-Birkenau
History students visited Poland as part of the Auschwitz Project with Holocaust Educational Trust. The trip included a visit to Auschwitz Birkenau and attendance at a memorial service, where they were able to light candles in memory of the victims who lost their lives in the Holocaust.
