We offer professional, impartial, and confidential advice and guidance to current students and prospective applicants to enable them to make informed decisions and to plan the next steps towards their future, including guidance with applying for employment, university applications or apprenticeships.
Our qualified and experienced staff offer quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG). We have achieved the Matrix Standard, the international quality standard for delivering Information Advice and Guidance (IAG).

Partnerships
We work in partnership with a range of organisations to help enhance our services for students, including access to career resources. These include the Careers Enterprise Company, the National Careers Service, Career Connect, and other public, charitable and private sectors.
Career Coach
Our Career Coach tool can help you find your dream career. It provides current and future local information on wages, employment, job postings and the associated courses that we offer.
The tool and information should be used as a starting point and a helpful guide. Any information can be discussed in further detail with a member of our team.

Information for Parents and Carers
At Sefton Sixth Form College, every student can get careers advice and guidance appointments. They can find a team of fully qualified careers advisers at all of our campuses, and as a parent or carer, you are also welcome to join their appointments if you wish to.
If your son, daughter or dependent is aged between 16 and 24 years old, they will automatically get a careers guidance appointment during the last term of the academic year. But don't worry help is needed earlier, because appointments can be booked with the Careers Advice and Guidance team anytime throughout the year.
