The students, based at the College’s campus in Litherland, are now celebrating having completed their time at the College and are looking forward to their next steps, be that university, apprenticeship or employment.
Joe Poole, Head of Sixth Form, said:
Results day is the culmination of 2 years of hard work, commitment and dedication, so it's great to see so many of our students celebrating their fantastic achievements with friends, family and teachers today. I'm incredibly proud of this group of students, and I wish them all the very best of luck in the future.
Due to the excellent results achieved, many students will now be progressing to study higher education at some of the most prestigious universities, including University of Manchester and Lancaster University. Alternatively, some students are progressing onto degree-level apprenticeships or full-time employment.
Lily Cullinan, A-level Business, Economics and Accounting student, said:
I’m filled with immense pride for my accomplishments today. The moment I saw my results, it felt surreal. I've achieved A*, A, A, opening the doors for me to pursue Business and Economics at the University of Liverpool. My time at Sefton Sixth Form College has been amazing and I want to thank everyone at the college who has supported me over the last two years. The dedication of the tutors here is unparalleled, and whilst I'll miss everyone, I'm eager to embrace the challenges awaiting me in university.
Sam Griffiths, A-level English Literature, History and Film student, said:
I'm incredibly proud of my results today; I've secured A, A, B, none of these accomplishments would have happened without the continuous support of my tutors and the entire community at Sefton Sixth Form College. These past two years have held their challenges, but I've been fortunate to have exceptional tutors and a wonderful circle of friends. My sights are now set on pursuing History at the University of Manchester. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone at Sefton Sixth Form College.
